Synopsis of Tracer, the Latest Drama that Successfully Surpassed Ratings Now We Are Breaking Up

Since the end of 2021, Korean drama connoisseurs have been presented with many on-going drama titles whose stories are very interesting, such as Snowdrop, Now We Are Breaking Up, The Red Sleeve, Our Beloved Summer, and many others.

In fact, the drama Now We Are Breaking Up, starring Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong has always succeeded in being in the first position of the weekend drama slot rating rating.

On Friday (7/1) 2022, the position of Now We Are Breaking Up, which aired its 15th episode, had to drop its rating with a total rating of 6.8 percent. And surprisingly, first place went to MBC's latest drama, Tracer, with a rating of 7.4 percent!

The drama, starring Im Siwan, Go Ah Sung, and Park Yong Woo, has an action genre that tells the story of a group of tax officers investigating a case of embezzlement of funds.

Hwang Dong Joo (Im Si Wan), is a division head of the Seoul Regional Office's Bureau of Investigation. Prior to that position, he worked as a well-known accountant who managed the secret funds of a large company.

In this case, Hwang Dong Joo went to great lengths to track down the money that was hidden from the tax service office. He did not even hesitate to do crazy things to uncover the case.

Not alone, Hwang Dong Joo is helped by his teammate, Seo Hye Young (Go Ah Sung), a woman with extraordinary investigative abilities, and is very active in pursuing tax evasion money.

But unfortunately, this ambitious team has to often clash with their boss, Oh Young (Park Young Woo). In fact, they often fight because of differences of opinion regarding the method to be carried out.

Far from the word "romantic" like some Korean drama titles that are currently airing, Tracer has a more serious subject because it is entirely about employees in the tax service.

However, this drama is packed with an interesting storyline, and also shows the good chemistry of the players, making it easy to enjoy even though the audience is still unfamiliar with the tax service.

The Korean drama Tracer itself airs on MBC TV station every Friday and Saturday.
