Overcome Excess Fat with the Pegan Diet Method, a Unique and Useful New Diet to Try!

Diet is one way for a person to get the ideal shape and weight. In addition to having the desired body, diet can also provide a healthy body and avoid various diseases that lurk us.

There are various types of diets that we can do, but have you ever heard of the stick diet? The pegan diet is an eating style inspired by two of the most popular diet trends, the paleo and vegan diets.

According to dr. Mark Hyman, creator of the pegan diet, says this style of eating can promote optimal health because it reduces inflammation and balances blood sugar. The main tenets of the paleo and vegan diet are based on the idea that nutrient-dense whole foods can support optimal health.

The pegan diet also has its own unique eating patterns and guidelines. The main emphasis is placed on vegetables and fruit, but small to moderate amounts of meat are acceptable, certain fish, nuts, seeds, and some legumes are also allowed.

Sugars, oils, and heavily processed grains are discouraged, but they can still be consumed in very small amounts.

Food Consumed

Unlike other types of diet, pegan has no rules about what to eat. When having breakfast, lunch, or dinner, dr. Hyman suggests about 75 percent of vegetables and fruits served on a dinner plate and the rest you can still eat meat, eggs, and healthy fats but as a side dish, not a main course.

The pegan diet focuses on “clean” foods, including:

Fruits Vegetables, mostly those with low starch or low glycemic index ratings such as broccoli, carrots, and tomatoes

Nuts Seeds

Meat like beef and chicken

High-fat, low-mercury fish such as salmon

Egg

Gluten free grains

You can also eat foods that contain sugar but only as a snack in small portions.

Foods That Shouldn't Be Consumed

Gluten and dairy products are strictly prohibited, so some of these foods should also be avoided in the pegan diet, including:

Breads, pastas, baked goods, cereals, granola and beer

Cow's milk, yogurt and cheese

Legumes like chickpeas, peas and lentils

Foods that contain pesticides

Anything with preservatives or artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners

Benefits of the Pegan Diet

A diet of a pegan diet that focuses on fruits and vegetables that are high in fiber and low in starch can improve your overall health and lower your risk of certain diseases.

Several studies have shown that a plant-based diet can reduce weight and lower bad cholesterol in the body, improve heart health, and reduce inflammation.

Now, after knowing the explanation above, what is meant by the pegan diet is a combination of the paleo and vegan diet. Are you interested in trying it?
