Alert! Should be avoided, these foods can actually make hair fall! Anything?

Hair loss is a common problem that most people experience. Actually, hair loss is a normal thing.

Healthline launches from the American Academy of Dermatologists, that each person will lose 50 to 100 strands of hair per day. However, since there are over 100,000 hair follicles on each person's scalp, losing 100 or more hairs a day doesn't make a big difference in appearance.

There are several factors that can cause hair loss, such as heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions, to the food consumed. Yup, it turns out that what you consume can also affect hair loss, you know!

Courtney D'Angelo, a nutritionist, told Eat This! Not that there are certain foods that can cause hair loss. These foods are tuna, swordfish (swordfish), shark, and king mackerel (American mackerel).

As is known, fish is a food that has a myriad of health benefits. Fish is a good food to eat because of its high nutritional content. For example, fatty fish is known to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, improve cognitive health, and is even thought to help with symptoms of depression.

While fish has many health benefits, it's important to know about the potential risks of eating too much of certain types of fish, especially those with higher levels of mercury.

"High levels of mercury have been linked to hair loss, and the fish mentioned above have higher levels of mercury than other seafood options," says D'Angelo.

She also adds, "Stay away from fish like swordfish, king mackerel, shark and even some tuna to avoid more severe hair loss."

Nutrition has an important role in hair health, including in preventing hair loss. So, what foods can help treat hair loss?

Launching from Healthline, here are some recommended foods for healthier hair:

Eggs: Eggs are a great source of protein which is important for preventing hair loss.

Berries: Berries are loaded with compounds like antioxidants and vitamins that can promote hair growth.

Spinach: Spinach is rich in folate, iron, and vitamins A and C, which can promote hair growth.

Avocado: Avocados are rich in vitamin E, an antioxidant that can promote hair growth.

In addition to regulating the intake of food that enters the body, there are other things that you should pay attention to to deal with hair loss. For example, choosing the right shampoo, don't tie your hair too tightly, use hair vitamins, and much more.
